Scavengeing at Main Beach, Byron Bay could not have gone any better! We teamed up with the awesome local crew from Positive Change for Marine Life. The sun was shinning bright and we had an amazingly long-list of volunteers, sponsors and musicians there to make it all happen. The local musicians, David Ely, Steve Manoa and Lucy Gallant set the pace for some scavenging action and ensured that we were all tapping our toes as we traded! There were fantastic prizes donated by Three Blue Ducks, The Farm, Dive Centre Byron Bay and Creature Yoga that got people scavenging as far as Wategoes! It all paid off because we picked up an astouding 110.4kg of litter with just over 100 pair of hands! Thhis included a whopping 3386 cigarette butts!
