Newcastle Scavenge

1st May 2016

It wasn't the ideal day to be scavenging with down-pours having us postpone until the afternoon. But in true Seaside Scavenge style it didn't matter! We had a host of awesome performers come play including Bel Enks and James Isaac. Scotties Fish Café and Scratchleys also jumped on board to donae some generous vouchers that got everyone out scavengeing. But most importantly we hauled in about 25kg of litter from Merewether beach, this included 562 cigarette butts... so that's 3,894L of water we saved from being contaminated with toxins. Not to mention all the plastic packaging, bottle tops and glass that we pulled in.
